Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) This regulated qualification is an introductory level qualification into the areas of teaching and assessment. A generic teaching qualification in the facilitation of learning and is the industry starting point for people wishing to step into the delivery of vocational training courses and qualifications such as First Aid at Work (for example) About the course Combined with evidence of your subject specific qualification (i.e. First Aid) successful achievement of this qualification will allow you to teach and assess some regulated qualifications related to your own qualifications and experience. You will build an understanding of the specific roles and responsibilities related to planning and delivering inclusive training sessions. This qualification is the standard / minimal requirements if you wish to be considered for the delivery of regulated qualifications (Levels 1,2 or 3 on the RQF) such as the Level 3 First Aid at Work (RQF) If you plan to deliver, assess higher level courses, wish to work in FE colleges etc; you should consider the following qualifications: Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training (RQF) Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training (RQF) Course entry requirements With the exception of having to be 19 years old to access and enroll on the course, the following requirements are an advantage. Learners without these could find the course more challenging. Have a good level of English & Numeracy (at least a level 2 qualification) Have a qualification in the subject they wish to train and deliver Have good IT skills for the completion of assignments / portfolio and training material for the course. Whilst not having any of the above suggested requirements, trainee trainers should consider their development requirements before taking on this qualification. We will conduct an induction and learner interview prior to accepting any learner on this qualification. Formative Assessments: Your interaction and participation is observed throughout the course delivery, this includes how well prepared you are for classroom sessions, how you interact and contribute in group sessions or with your tutor during session delivery (for example) Summative Assessments: As part of the course requirements, you will have to plan and deliver a micro-teach session (minimum of 15 minutes), using inclusive teaching and learning methods; observed by your peers and facilitator. Feedback will be gathered from your peers and audience to go towards your portfolio. Invigilated Exams: Detail Final Independent Driving Assessment Detail What your course fees cover You are not paying for a certificate or qualification, your course fee does not entitle you automatically to a qualification or certificate Your course fees allow you to access and participate on a course of study that may lead to the achievement of a qualification at the end. Whether this happens or not depends on you successfully achieving the assessment criteria laid out in the qualification specification. Your course fees cover the following: Access to course timetable with one of our facilitators One attempt at each Multiple-Choice Question Paper (MCQ) as timetabled Assessment and sign off of your portfolio (By Group or Cohort) * Quality Assurance of your portfolio (By Group or Cohort) * Electronic Certificate (E-Certificate) For the duration of your qualification you will have access to our Microsoft Office 365 platform which will provide you with: Office 365 Licence: Access to online versions of the Microsoft Office Suite Access to your Portfolio Access to Electronic course materials (Textbooks etc) Certification Successful learners will receive an SCTNI CPD Certificate which will detail the pathway / vehicle type the assessment was undertaken in.
